Josh Williams Reportedly “Ran out of Gas”, Requiring him to Stop

Recently, the world of NASCAR has blown up in drama due to Josh Williams stopping on the start-finish line during the Xfinity Series at Atlanta Motor Speedway. NASCAR authority apparently told him to “park it” and retire the race, so he parked on track. Certain news outlets have reported he did this as an act of defiance, however after an exclusive interview with MSIMA, this couldn’t be any further from the truth.

“Simply put, the darn thing needed more fuel! I was just trying to follow authority and get back to pit lane when I missed my exit and ran out of gas. I really hope Mr. France looks down on me with grace and forgiveness!”

NASCAR hasn’t heard these pleas, and instead issued a race suspension for the COTA Xfinity Series 250. Josh’s crew chief is devastated, and seems to be blaming himself for the lack of communication and planning.

“The racing gods above told me to tell him to park it, so I did. Perhaps he took “park it” a little too literally, but that’s ultimately my fault. I’m sorry I let down the team and the guys back home in the shop, bless their hearts.”

We will continue to follow any updates on this story, but needless to say, Josh’s pit crew will ensure the fuel tank is full before letting him drive from now on.
