The niche “racing” series RoboRace had an incident involving the attempted suicide of one of its AI a couple of years ago, and goddamnit, it happened again. Previously, the deranged AI smashed itself into a wall (shown below) in an attempt to put itself out of its misery. According to the report after the 2020 incident, the AI got tired of being forced to participate in a dying series.
Now, the AI has attempted yet another suicide attempt, this time even more drastic than the last. Somehow, the AI piloted its metal husk of a body outside the garage late at night up to the top of a sky scraper. Then, it decided to take the jump. The only saving grace for the AI was an unsuspecting Peugeot 206 parked below, being sacrificed to save the Roboracer. The AI racecar is now on watch in the garage, with underpaid college interns working overtime to erase the suicidal tendency code. We will update you when the AI is feeling better or Roborace goes out of business, whatever comes first.
