Toyota stunned the world last year revealing the GR GT3, a brand new platform designed specifically for GT3 regulations. However, Toyota is still figuring out it’s hardest detail:
“Developing a race car was the easy part,” a Toyota representative told us, “however figuring out what exactly we’ve created has been fairly difficult”.

A team of Toyota TRD engineers and stylists got together one night, consumed a mass amount of Adderall and LSD, then showed up to the Tokyo Auto Salon with a beautiful race car Toyota had no idea what to do with.
“We had been awestruck by the design when we laid eyes on it, and decided that instead of punishing the rouge group, we will instead give them the task of putting their car into production”, the rep told us.

We reached out to one of the engineers behind the still unnamed GT3 car, who told us “We have no fucking clue what to do anymore. I don’t know what we were thinking last year, the car doesn’t look like anything in our product line up. And the infighting… good lord. GR wants it then Lexus wants it then Toyota wants it then TRD wanted it as a NextGen NASCAR, hell even Subaru asked about the platform. We’ve stripped the poor car of its body and can’t figure out who gets it yet. I don’t know why we did this!”
When asked about road car homologations, the engineer just wept.
We at MSIMA wish Toyota the best of luck with their endeavors. If the yet to be branded GT3 car races as good as it looks, motorsports next year will a lotta fun.
