Much fan-fare has come about the new GMA T.33, but a recent discovery has led to a possible lawsuit from GM.
The GM engineers claim the T.33 has stolen the exact design of the PT Cruiser 4-spoke steering wheel design, down to the chrome spokes. Looking at the two side-by-side the argument starts to take shape.

As much as we love GMA and the wild creations coming out of Mr. Murry’s mind, such blatant stolen design of an iconic vehicle is unacceptable. On top of that, a modern day 4-spoke steering wheel for a sports car is ALSO unacceptable, so perhaps this lawsuit is deserved. Looking into some background info, Gordon apparently owned a 2.4L PT Cruiser Turbo back in the day, which would make sense considering the steering wheel similarity. Most likely, the head of GM will just ask for a slot to buy the T.33 instead of any financial compensation, since an allocation is probably worth more than the PT cruiser steering wheel patent.
We’ll keep an eye on this story as it expands, and let’s hope for some options for a steering wheel not stuck in the 80’s on the next GMA car.
