Our friend interning at Textron, the holding company for Polaris, has leaked information to the MSIMA team about a new limited run high-performance Slingshot!

This version, nicknamed the “Trebuchet”, has a full rear axle, and is aimed square at the enthusiast market.
The 4 wheel “conversion” starts with a Roush chassis sling shot, and a subframe is bolted around the rear swing arm.
Some of the parts kept include the brakes in the rear, which remain as a single rear disk in the center of the axle.
The three springs and dampers have been upgraded to new units from Bilstein, aiming to further enhance the driving experience, meanwhile the power output from is up from the standard Roush, from 203 ranging American horses to 230, to attempt to address the weight increase.
Polaris says the new Slingshit Trebuchet is due for a 2024 release, aiming to take its angular plastic bathtub up against the likes of the Ariel Atom and Caterham 7.
We at MSIMA can’t wait to see the new trebuchet debut at Daytona Bike Week 2024!
