Top Ten Cars We Are Waiting to be Made

Often times, car manufactures love to hype up and excite the public with outrageous prototypes the world believes are actually going to be made. Or, rumors and connections can be made through the threads of a lonely internet car forum, drawing conspiracy theories on the walls of a bathroom. Either way, these are 10 cars we can’t wait to come to fruition, no matter how long it takes!

10. Ford Ecosport ST

The Ford EcoSport is already a highly acclaimed vehicle, topping all the “Compact SUV of the Year” charts in 2018. However, there’s one thing Ford has yet to do: make it faster. First the Ford Explorer ST, next the Ford EcoSport ST. Natural progression! Wait what? There’s already an ST-line in the UK? God I hope they annex us again.

9. Eclipse Cross Ralliart

Bring back the heritage of the Evo and Eclipse, the Eclipse cross has been waiting for a Ralliart model for years, and we can’t wai-
Wow, it’s been done. A work of art, one might say. Mitsubishi’s mona lisa, a true masterpiece.

8. Aston Martin Nebula

Teased back in 2016 and hyped across automotive social media, a secretive hypercar project known as “Nebula” rumored to exist. A car with other worldly performance, F1 engineering, and the promise to be as fast as an LMP car in road going form. Instead, we got the Valkyrie. Somewhere in the UK, the Nebula sits, waiting for its day to shine. I KNOW YOU HAVE IT ASTON! SHMEE150, THE STRAD MAN, AND ALL THE OTHERS TOLD ME SO. JUST RELEASE IT!!!! THE WORLD IS READY!!!!

7. MG Cyberster (US Market Release)

FUCK ME FUCK ME FUCK ME FUCK ME

6. R35 Nissan GTR 20th Anniversary Edition

2008 was almost 20 years ago! And Obama has barely aged!? Do you know what that means? Reptilians the R35 GTR is less than 4 years shy of a proper 20 year anniversary edition! Porsche released 3 generations of 911, Lamborghini has refreshed its entire range thrice, and McLaren birthed itself. Nissan however, has stuck with the R35. When you birth perfection, you don’t need to do anything else. The GTR is the fastest, IT WILL ALWAYS BE THE FASTEST! So, here’s to 20 years, and hopefully 20 more!

5. Picchio Bizzarrini Prototype

Oh Picchio! You teased us upon your foundation with this glorious machine that looks vaguely like a GT1 vector stripped into its basic parts. What is it? Well, Mr. Bizzarrini (yes that one) founded Picchio in the late 90’s. This was their first prototype, featuring the i4 from the Lancia Delta Integrale mounted midship in that carbon bodied creation. It never made it into production as a road or race car, but clearly the work was done. Locked away in a storage lot somewhere in northern Italy, lies a half realized dream that is waiting to be fulfilled by some eccentric billionaires. I’ll take twenty please.

4. BRZ STI (aka a Stock Turbo for $27,000)

“LOOK MAN, ITS DEAD SIMPLE. JUST TAKE THE FA24 FROM THE WRX, GIVE IT 300 HP, AND PUT IT IN THE BRZ FOR $27,000!”, and other such cries echo from the masses. It’s the one trick that automakers love to keep from you. Just turbo it bro. You know how many people do this on their own to fix Subaru’s mistake? It’s not that hard. You take the turbo, and you add it, then make 300 hp. That’s it, Subaru – wait why is this suddenly a $48,000 car?

3. BMW Z5

The current generation Z4 is fine. But look, we had the Z1, Z3, Z8, and now the Z4. How many more times can we keep using the number 4? And the automotive press seems to agree, with almost every magazine claiming every camo’d BMW Z car to be a “Z5”. The prophecy is self-fulfilling, and with the new 5’er out, they’ve got the perfect platform to work with.

2. Corvette SUV

I don’t know about you guys but I LOVE the Ford Mustang Mach E. Chevrolet really needs to step up to the plate and give us enthusiasts what we really want: a Corvette SUV! Imagine having the deep-rooted pedigree the Corvette name brings with it but being able to carry 7 kids and crush any opposing cars!

1. Nike ONE

We’ve actually discussed the Nike One before on this website. Over a year ago, the observation was made that the One’s release year quickly came to pass. Now, 2 years late, we still haven’t heard squat about the 200MPH treadmill ATV. It was initially revealed in 2004, so the Nike automotive engineers have had plenty of time to work out the kinks, yet here we are. I want my goddamn deposit back
