Engineer Institutionalized Due To Prototype VW W-Engine

Semi-recently the prototype VW W10 engine has been discovered and featured by many different automotive journalism websites. However, us at MSIMA, the better automotive journalism website, discovered an even crazier prototype. Behold the VW W50.

Designed to fit into the long forgotten midengined Passat wagon (artist’s rendition), this W50 has 5 times the amount of cylinders the previous prototype has, and 8.3 times a normal VR6 has. It was created by taking 5 of the original prototype W10 engines, which consists of 2 VR5 engines meshed together, and weld all of them end-to-end.

The general idea was to cram the W50 in the back of a wagon that has been extended to accommodate the massive power plant. Despite a few prototypes being built, test drivers reportedly stated that “this shit car will not turn” and “my formula student team was better than this”. Soon after, the project seemed to have been erased from VW public records.

We visited Volkswagen of Pembroke Pines to try and uncover more:

“I have no idea where you guys got this from. I’m just a service tech dude, leave before we call the police again.” – Jerome, Senior V.A.G. tech.

A though nut to crack it seems, but we at MSIMA are ever persistent! We stalked Fredrik, an engineer for the VW group, on LinkedIn until we blackmailed him to look at our messages. He has recently commented on this device found by researchers at Mis-Shift:

“The rumors were true? I thought they burned any trace of this affront to god in 2009? Our legal team will be in contact with you shortly.”

Wow consumers! We did it! We cracked the code! And now, we get a cease and desist!
