AI Powered Ultracar Announced

VoltraX (pronounced Voltra-X) a startup from Singapore by two Americans who demanded politely asked to be referred to as “expats”, has just announced the company’s first ever car, the ExoVibe.

The ExoVibe is a 1750 HP AWD hybrid AI-powered “Ultracar”.

A few renders were shown to us during a press event over Zoom last week. However, TopGear.com had press rights until about thirty seconds ago. Anyways, aside from an AI generated PowerPoint, we also talked to Darion and Trevor, co-owners of VoltraX.

When asked about where the company’s name came from, Darion responded with “we asked the AI for guidance, and after minutes of generating ideas, we came up with the brand and car name based on our criteria and historical data”

We then asked what was meant by “historical data”.

“Since VoltraX lacks any sort of brand history, we made sure to feed as much automotive history into our LLM AI tool to maximize brand synergy and produce an evocative identity unique to VoltraX yet deeply rooted in the rich history of sports cars.”

According to the presentation, AI will be used to power all aspects of the program, from conceptual marketing to engineering simulations to the manufacturing. They were keen to point out one of their partners, SinterAI who have shown off their “AI enhanced 3D printed uprights” (they got scammed out of a lot of money for some kid to run Fusion360’s topology optimizer on his school’s computer while no one was looking).

Co-founder Trevor had also made it a point to mention that they were proud to announce “the biggest collab in car making history”, with a loose partnership between VoltraX and Zagato for the design of the car. After some digging logging onto their teams channel after seeing the password on a white board, we now understand that this means they are feeding ChatGPT a bunch of historic Zagato designs along with some buzzwords to shit out the car renders seen in this article.

We reached out to Zagato for further information on this project. Their legal team reached out instead, perplexed and eager to learn more.

We at MSIMA are truly excited to see where this project will go! Truly! Excitations flowing through the insides of all MSIMA team members! Please make it stop because it hurts.
